Newly Wed Couple

I have photographed weddings since 2003, and started when a friend wanted 'real' shots rather than run through a list of clichéd group photos. I prefer capturing the real emotions, un-posed moments and the spontaneous happiness and laughter. Because of that, I decided people deserve better than the 'cookie-cutter' shots outside the wedding venue or the 'cheese' smiles when everyone wants to just enjoy the moment.

I like to keep things fun, relaxed and let you just get on with enjoying the day without worrying about me missing any of the best bits.

With a range of packages to choose from, there's certainly something for any budget or personality and I'd love to be a part of your magical day.

I am fully insured for both public liability and professional indemnity as well as certified in Covid-19 prevention.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should I book?

Many couples are planning their wedding day far in advance. It's best to secure your photographer (me, hopefully!) as soon as you can because dates fill up. I do sometimes have gaps in my diary though, so even if you've forgotten to book the photos, get in touch with me and I can check if your date is available. If you want to put a number to it, 9 months is the average, but I sometimes get asked weeks not months in advance!

We have seen images we like, can you copy/recreate them?

I always try to fit my client's style into the photos. It's important we have a call before the wedding to discuss this, and I can try to accomodate styling requests. Quite often, the couples already have ideas about their shots, so let's discuss it! :)

How do we get our images?

There is often a huge amount of photos to go through following a wedding. Once I get back, I ofload all the photos onto my hardrives and start trimming out any that don't work (blurred, blinking, repeat images and so on). I then go through them all again and start picking out the best images to show you. Once that is done, the photos are uploaded to your own personal gallery and you are sent a link and password. You can share your gallery with friends and family, share to social media or download to print and keep. I don't watermark the photos and you get a print license with all packages. If you opted for one of my beautiful hand finished albums (I hope you did!), then there is also a place in the gallery where you can select the images you want included (I may also make some suggestions too).

Why should we print the photos? Can't we just download them?

Of course you're welcome to download the images, they are yours and evne include a license to allow you to print or share them. However, from experience, the most frequent question I get from couples is "Do you still have a copy of those photos?". Whether they got lost, or the hard drive got broken, or even just forget where they were kept, a digital photo is much easier to lose than a print. Aside to lost files, I truly believe that photos look so much better when printed and not on a tiny phone screen. An album lives on a shelf and is a work of art. With proper care, photos and albums will last a lifetime. If you want to see what goes into creating an album, take a look here.

Do you edit or retouch photos?

These are two different things. All the photos will be edited for sharpness, colour and exposure as well as any styling of the overall image set before they get to your gallery. Retouching is different as each photo is taken into Photoshop and can be time consuming. I am able to offer this if requested and charged at my hourly rate.

Do you have insurance?

Yes! It's ab absolute must. I have both public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance. If your venue requires paperwork from me, I can provide this in advance.

Can I book now?

Of course! I'd be happy to hear from you, and you're just a click away from a consulation.
